A small studio on the Central Coast

Poppy Coast Creative is a branding and visual communications studio based in Cambria, California, working with businesses across San Luis Obispo County and with clients further afield.

Small is the point. You work with the person doing the design, from the first conversation through to the final files. Nothing is handed to an account manager, and nothing is passed to a junior once the project is sold.

How we work together

Every project starts with a conversation about the business rather than the deliverable. What you sell, who buys it, what gets in the way, and what the design actually has to do. That conversation shapes the scope, and the scope decides whether the work suits an à la carte service, a package, or an ongoing retainer.

From there the process is deliberately plain. You see concepts early, you give direction in your own words, and revisions are built into the scope rather than billed as surprises. Final files arrive prepared for the uses you actually have, in print and online.

The industries we know

Hospitality work means menus, signage, and the small printed things guests touch. Skincare, beauty and aesthetics work means packaging and campaigns in a category where the look has to carry credibility. Finance and nonprofit arts work means communicating clearly to audiences who are not browsing for fun. Each of these has its own conventions, and knowing them is most of what shortens a project.
