Menu design for Central Coast restaurants, hotels and tasting rooms
A menu is the piece of design your guests spend the most time with. It sets expectations about the kitchen before anything arrives, and it quietly decides what people order.
Poppy Coast Creative designs menus for restaurants, cafés, hotels and tasting rooms in Cambria, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles and across the county.

-
A menu designed without seeing the room is a guess. Light, table size, how the paper is handled, how long a guest holds it, whether staff are reciting specials over it. Working with restaurants in the county means we can come and look before deciding anything, and come back when it is printed.
-
Visit and brief. We visit, read the current menu, and talk through what you want ordered more often.
Structure. Sections, sequence and item hierarchy are agreed before any layout, because this is the part that changes what guests choose.
Design. You see one full draft, mark it up, and we refine from there.
Print-ready files. Final artwork is prepared to your printer's specification, or we work with a printer we know.
Updating. Where the menu changes seasonally, you get a version you can edit yourself for item and price changes.

FAQ
Can you work with our existing brand?
Yes, and most of this work does. If there is no brand to work from, or the one that exists is inconsistent, we can sort that first as a separate piece of work.
Do you handle printing?
I can handle printing, connect you with my trusted printer or provide print-ready-files to your specifications.
We change dishes constantly. Is a designed menu worth it?
That is an argument for a designed template rather than against one. The layout, type and structure are designed once, and you update items and prices inside it without the menu losing its shape.
